Google Glass
2013-2015
Expectations were sky-high when Google launched these smart glasses with a built-in camera, voice controls, and a revolutionary screen. Technology geeks paid €1,500 for this futuristic gadget, promoted as a fully developed product.
However, it was nothing more than an expensive prototype, the technology didn’t quite work. The “hidden” camera raised concerns about privacy issues and Google Glass was banned in some places. Those who insisted on wearing them were called “Glassholes.”
