Apple is known for fantastic design and high-quality products. But even they can fail. This keyboard was much thinner than earlier designs, but the construction was fragile and unreliable. Even the smallest piece of dirt could cause problems that required that the entire laptop be disassembled. It became one of the most controversial and problematic hardware designs in the company’s history. Apple was sued for knowingly selling this keyboard design to millions of customers.
