Google Sony Remote

2012-2014

Google TV was an attempt to integrate television and Internet. With the big tech companies Google, Intel, Sony, and Logitech it was expected to be a great success. Early versions of new technology are prone to failure and even the largest, most innovative companies can fail miserably. The Google TV devices were not user-friendly and many tech reviewers wrote that this was best illustrated by the hideous Sony remote. It had 88 separate buttons and controls.

Apple TV was much better. The Apple remote had 6 buttons.
