Oral-B AI TOOTHBRUSH

2019; 2025

Oral-B (Procter & Gamble) launched their first AI toothbrush in 2019 and has since then continued to refine this advance technology with over ten new models. When this is written, the latest is the Oral-B iO Series 10 (iO10). But as the technology is improving so fast this information will soon be obsolete. Since P&G keep releasing new versions we can assume it is probably not a commercial flop. It is included in the museum more as a silly product to be seen as a failure of ideas.

Dental hygiene is now revolutionized with artificial intelligence. Motion and pressure sensors and multiple wireless connections to the Interwebs makes these toothbrushes more than a cleaning instrument. They track how you brush and coach you like a personal dental trainer. Imagine that. Your own personal dental hygiene coach for only 340 USD (200 EUR).

It features the expected brush for cleaning teeth and so much more:

Color screen, notifications for super sensitive or intense cleaning mode, position tracking, 16 zone real-time 3D Teeth Tracking, iO Sense charging stand with LED feedback, on-screen brush head replacement reminder, travel case, 14 day battery life, battery notification via screen and handle, and low noise at 72dB.
