WILLY’S CHOCOLATE EXPERIENCE

2024

The magical world of Willy Wonka, based on the famous film, was the inspiration for the unlicensed “Willy's Chocolate Experience” exhibition. With AI generated images the website promised an amazing experience.

Parents paid £35 for tickets to an empty industrial warehouse with a few sad decorations, crap posters, a lonely bouncy castle in the corner, and actors in cheap costumes reciting AI scripts. Children received two sweets and a glass of lemonade, but no chocolate. Visitors were furious and called the police, demanding an immediate refund.

The images, complaints, criticism, and mockery went viral on social media, with the event being compared to the infamous Fyre Festival.
